Unity Wine: a wine created by the two brothers, Andreas and Marcus Clauß, who run their wineries 350 km apart – in the east and west of Germany.
The wine for the Day of German Unity in Thuringia is a wine that makes German unity tangible, so that it becomes a pleasure.
This cuvée is a symbolic sign of the two partner states of Rhineland-Palatinate and Thuringia, or Mainz and Erfurt.
The two brothers, Marcus and Andreas Clauß, have combined the two varieties Sauvignon Blanc (Rheinhessen) and Riesling (Thuringia) to create this special wine.
Marcus and Andreas Clauß grew up in Esslingen near Stuttgart in Swabia. After training as a wine-growing technician, the older brother Andreas moved to Thuringia. Together with his wife Kathrin, he runs the Thuringian winery Bad Sulza in the Saale-Unstrut wine-growing region. The younger brother Marcus studied in Geisenheim and Birgit brought him to Mainz-Hechtsheim (Rheinhessen).
Unfortunately, this wine is already SOLD OUT.
