Vine blossom in full swing – a magical moment in the vineyard when the vines bloom and the young berries then develop.
This important phase usually lasts only 10-14 days and lays the foundation for the quality and quantity of the wine vintage.
The cool nights of the past few days have significantly slowed down the flowering of the vines. Some flowers have even fallen off – whether and how this will affect the yield will only become apparent in the next few weeks.
From the end of flowering, the countdown begins: in around 100 days we will start harvesting.
Thanks to the recent rainfall - which was incredibly important - there is sufficient water in the soil – good conditions for positive development.
The sun, which is now showing its full power, is giving the vines a good boost and our team is managing the foliage work with combined forces. It remains exciting.
